OUR PROCESS

One of the most commonly used instructional design models for adult learners is the ADDIE model. ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. We use this model as a systematic and iterative approach to instructional design that helps ensure effective learning experiences for adult learners. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect with each phase:

Analyse

We work with you to gain a deep understanding of your needs, challenges, and objectives. This involves a comprehensive analysis of the learning project including: identifying target audience characteristics; desired learning outcomes; existing resources; and any constraints or limitations.  By working closely with you, we ensure that the learning solution aligns with your organisational goals and addresses the specific needs of your learners.

Design

During the Design phase the focus is on creating a comprehensive and effective learning solution based on the insights gathered. We will translate the identified learning objectives into a detailed instructional design plan which will include the instructional strategies, content structure, and assessment methods. In this phase, we will also outline the visual design elements, interactive activities, and multimedia elements. We aim to create a well-organised, learner-centered design that aligns with your objectives and effectively facilitates knowledge acquisition and skill development.

Develop

In this phase, we focus on transforming the instructional design plan into a tangible learning product. We collaborate closely with the client, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders, to develop the learning materials and resources outlined in the design phase. This includes creating or selecting relevant content, designing and developing multimedia elements, and crafting interactive exercises and assessments. We will use the most relevant authoring tools and learning management systems, to build and assemble the learning modules. We place an imporance on communication during this phase, seeking feedback and making necessary revisions to ensure the final product meets the desired learning outcomes and aligns with your expectations.

Implement

We work closely with you to coordinate the logistics and execute the implementation plan. This may involve setting up the necessary technology infrastructure, and ensuring the availability of required resources. We will provide support and training to you and your team, equipping you with the necessary tools and guidance. Throughout this phase, we monitor the implementation process, address any challenges that arise, and ensure a smooth and successful rollout of the learning solution.

Evaluate

We know the importance of continual improvement so we always assess the effectiveness of our learning solutions. To help us evaluate and improve, we gather data and feedback to evaluate the impact of the learning solution on the learners and the organisation.  An analysis of the data helps us to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Based on the evaluation results, we will make recommendations for refining and enhancing the learning solution, whether it involves content revisions, instructional modifications, or changes in delivery methods. The evaluation phase allows us to measure the success of the learning and make informed decisions to optimise future iterations.
